Jieshou Project Construction Moves at Full Speed

In May 2025, project activity across urban and rural Jieshou was running at full capacity. The city has advanced a coordinated project campaign, with commencement rates for provincial and municipal key projects among the strongest in Fuyang.

Full-life-cycle support is helping projects move quickly. At the Anhui Suslid project in Guangwu Science and Technology Park—which will produce 100,000 tonnes of plastic pipe and 120,000 tonnes of modified polymer pellets a year—the final pre-production push is under way.

Inside the clean workshops, engineers are commissioning dozens of large injection-moulding machines and extrusion lines together, adjusting temperature, pressure and other core parameters. Intelligent conveyors in the raw-material warehouse are also being tested.

Drawing on Jieshou's circular-economy base, the project focuses on high-end plastic products. At full output it is expected to generate more than RMB 2.5 billion annually, fill a regional gap in large-scale production of high-performance modified plastics and strengthen the industrial chain in northern Anhui.

More than 90% of Jieshou's projects have started and entered the statistical system. Of 13 projects in the first two provincial commencement batches for 2025, 12 have begun and recorded RMB 636 million in investment. The first group of Fuyang key projects recorded a 56.9% start rate and 28.4% investment completion, both among the top two in Fuyang.

Forty newly started projects entered the statistical system in the first four months, while fixed-asset investment rose 138.9% year on year. Jieshou has also attracted nine projects worth at least RMB 100 million from Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

The next stage will plan more major equipment renewal and strategic projects for the 15th Five-Year Plan, resolve land, finance, utilities, assessment and approval needs efficiently, and accelerate innovation platforms and digital transformation so major projects contribute more tangible growth.
